The most visited city in Ukraine is Kiev. The ancient, beautiful city with 1000 churches attracts foreign visitors with its historical heritage. On the other hand, a night walk through the old streets clearly shows that foreigners admire the city far from being alone, but in embrace with beautiful girls who speak English with a Ukrainian accent.

Why is Kiev attractive to foreigners?

Rich history, ancient temples, monasteries, museums dedicated to World War II. Many come to Kiev precisely for tourist purposes.

TOP 3 Best sights of Kiev in 2020

1. St. Andrew's descent
If you ask a non-Kiev citizen what streets of Kiev he knows, then most likely you will be one of the first to hear Andriyivskyy Descent. Well, Khreshchatyk, as well of course.
Now St. Andrew's Descent, or as it is also called Kiev Montmartre, is a museum street, one of the main tourist attractions of the Ukrainian capital. Many famous figures of science and culture lived and worked here: scientists, writers, composers, artists, sculptors.
In the buildings along the street, there are art galleries, exhibitions, theaters and art workshops. In the open air there are numerous souvenir shops.

2. The House with chimeras
We added this house to the list of significant sights in 2020, not because it was recently built. The mansion was built in 1902, but over the past 5 years the road to it was closed and only recently we had the opportunity to see it. This is a unique Art Nouveau mansion, decorated with fantastic sculptures (chimeras) of fabulous animals, inhabitants of the underwater world, trophies of hunters. Don’t miss it!

3. Pedestrian Klitschko Bridge
Built in 2019 by the mayor of Kiev, the former world famous boxer Vitali Klitschko, the bridge instantly became a favorite place for locals and foreigners. The stunning panorama of the city opens from here. In some sections of the bridge - a glass floor.
