On September 20, 2021, Weston College of Massachusetts in Weston, Massachusetts, held a grand celebration to officially inaugurate the American Academy of Chinese and international Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, with nearly 100 guests from industry representatives of the American Chinese Food Alliance, representatives of New England restaurant and hospitality companies, and representatives of relevant news media attending the event. According to the introduction, the purpose and mission of the establishment of the American Academy of Chinese and international Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management
is to promote Chinese and international culinary arts and hospitality education to a wider and higher level, integrating with culinary arts, education and media to create a very elegant educational base for Chinese food culture.

The official establishment of the Academy will provide a great impetus for the continued and innovative development of Chinese food throughout the United States, telling a unique and innovative cultural story for Chinese food culture to reach millions of households in the United States.

The reporter learned that Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn, American Academy of Internal Medicine member Wu Hao, Massachusetts Weston College President Dr. Rong Liya, USCCU President Li Riteng, USCCU Honorary President Zhu Tianhu, USCCU Vice President Liang Li Tang, USCCU Secretary General Zhong Fuhua, US South News Group Chairman Li Weihua and other guests inaugurated the US Chinese Food and International Restaurant Academy. Dozens of guests representing all walks of life, including Boston expatriate leader Liu Hong, were invited to attend the evening's festivities.

For the establishment of the American Academy of Chinese and international Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, Boston City Councilor Flynn spoke highly of it in his speech, saying, "It's a pleasure to be invited to this grand celebration on behalf of the Boston City Council, and the important thing that I respect about everyone here is that you are all working hard to make this community more welcoming and inclusive. That's what this city and this country is all about. We have friends here with us from Texas and all over the country, and on behalf of the Boston City Council, I would like to extend our congratulations and heartfelt thanks to this great event for the Asian community!"

Current President of the Chinese American Restaurant Association Li Riteng said he would like to begin by expressing his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Chinese American Restaurant Association for the support of all of his colleagues who attended this event! The official establishment of the American Academy of Chinese and international Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management is the result of years of cooperation between the U.S. Chinese Food Coalition and Weston College and the USNJ. Through this platform, we can better promote Chinese food culture and make it flourish! And at the same time enhance the values of Chinese food culture! He also said that this academy can be both a training center for the development of the Chinese food industry, and hopefully will produce better and more Chinese chefs. The biggest problem facing the development of the Chinese food industry in the United States is the difficulty of hiring people, especially the serious shortage of Chinese chefs. The development of the Chinese restaurant industry in the United States can solve the employment of many Chinese people in the United States and benefit thousands of Chinese families, which is the original intention, development concept and future development direction of our Chinese restaurant industry in the United States! For this reason, we need the joint efforts of all sectors of the community, and we have the confidence and ability to make the development of the Chinese restaurant industry in America even better!

Since the establishment of the American Institute of Chinese Cuisine and International Restaurant Management was born out of a strong demand for the development of the industry, what innovative means will it use to better achieve its mission? In this regard, the Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Food Alliance, Mr. Chu Tien-woo, elaborated on some of his innovative ideas. He said that based on his years of successful experience in automotive vocational training, there is a huge market demand for Chinese food management training, not only among the Chinese American community, but also among the broader U.S. population. The time has come for the Chinese food industry, which has a long history in the United States, to enter the homes of thousands of local Americans. In order to bring Chinese food culture into the homes of local Americans, our Chinese Food Management Institute should be more open and promote through various channels, so that more local American youth will come to the Institute for systematic study of Chinese cooking, culinary arts and Chinese culture. By training these young students, especially American students, the goal is not only to train industrial talents for the Chinese food industry, but also to promote Chinese food culture and bring the vivid stories of Chinese food culture into their lives, work and homes, so that Chinese food culture can truly flourish in America!

The establishment of the U.S. Chinese Food and International Restaurant Institute is the result of the integration of multiple resources. Dr. Rong Liya, President of Weston College, said that since its inception two years ago, Weston College has been in contact with the current President of the American Chinese Restaurant Alliance, Mr. Li Riteng, and the leadership members of the Alliance to discuss the establishment of a restaurant management school. The matter was later suspended due to the sudden impact of the New Coronavirus pandemic. After the serious impact of the pandemic, the restaurant industry in particular needed to move toward recovery as soon as possible, but instead accelerated the further acceleration of cooperation between Weston College and the U.S. Chinese Food Alliance and the U.S. South News Group, which eventually established the U.S. Chinese Food and International Restaurant Management School. Dr. Rong Liya said, this time, the Institute's multi-resource cooperation has several advantages and characteristics: First, as the United States Weston College adheres to the advantages of the platform of the U.S. college teaching address, but also the advantages of multiple teaching resources; second, as the U.S. Chinese Food Alliance has a solid industrial base for the development of the Chinese food industry across the United States and a broad market demand, which will have a direct channel for the delivery of talent to the management school. Thirdly, as a news matrix platform with wide influence, the US South News Group can contribute to the enrollment of the college and the promotion of Chinese restaurant culture with the power of its own media.

The heritage of Chinese culture includes not only Tang poems, Song lyrics and Peking operas, but also the Chinese food culture of "Hunger breeds discontentment", so I sincerely hope that the establishment of the Academy will contribute to the heritage and development of Chinese food culture!
