In this very special year when the health crisis has forced many artistic events, our festival has chosen resilience, and taken an unprecedented path that still pushes the limits of our creativity !
This edition will be one of renewal, of resistance, while guaranteeing everyone's safety.
2020: the year of renewal
The 71st Menton Music Festival will therefore take place and will be held from August 1 to 10 as follows:
Two spaces in the city will host this reworked and digitalized program: the traditional Parvis Saint-Michel Archange but also the Parc du Pian, a huge olive grove overlooking the sea.
The concert series "Les Grands Interprètes", played on the forecourt, will be broadcast live streaming on the Festival website www.festival-musique-menton.fr
The concerts at the Parc du Pian will be broadcast live thanks to a system of wireless audio headsets, allowing social distancing: https://silentsystem.com
The Menton Music Festival is initiating a partnership with the NomadPlay application in order to integrate some of these concerts into its online catalog, to relive the best moments of the Festival www.nomadplay.fr/fr/

Editorial by Jean-Claude Guibal, MAYOR OF MENTON:
A year ago, the 70th Music Festival ended. An unforgettable anniversary edition which allowed us to discover a new generation of great pianists, to welcome the charismatic Jordi Savall or even to vibrate to the notes of the violinist Renaud Capuçon. It was a memorable festival that foreshadowed an exceptional 71st edition.
If the current circumstances related to the COVID-19 health crisis have forced us to review the traditional form of the festival, we wanted, with Paul-Emmanuel Thomas, its artistic director, to maintain it so that this prestigious musical event, whose creativity continues will know, more than ever, to enchant us in this particular period.
This 2020 edition will thus be one of modernity with the introduction of new technologies to serve music, but above all the illustration of the resilience of men and women - City officials or members of the Friends of the Festival - whose commitment and energy enabled the 71st Music Festival to exist.
