Numerous visitors to Busch's trade show booth at ACHEMA were able to see several innovations for the first time. As announced, Busch presented several sizes and versions of its new series of Dolphin liquid ring vacuum pumps.
In addition, Busch was able to present the first COBRA screw vacuum pump with a newly developed "Vibration Control Box" that not only recognizes damage to bearings at an early stage, but also determines in which of the two ball bearings a damage is imminent.
The new Dolphin liquid ring vacuum pumps were met with exceptionally keen interest from professional visitors. All 13 sizes come with integrated flow channels and directly flange mounted IE3 standard motors. This eliminates the need for base frames and additional tubing between the two stages, making these vacuum pumps extremely compact. At ACHEMA, Busch presented only ATEX compliant versions in stainless steel for ATEX relevant processes. An additional Dolphin with a total recirculation system with a liquid separator and integrated heat exchanger was exhibited.
For the first time, Busch presented the COBRA NC 0600 C, a dry screw vacuum pump certified according to ATEX T3 that does not require operating fluids and is equipped with the newly developed "Vibration Control Box". It enables the transport of potentially explosive gases or vapours at ultimate pressures of 0.01 hectopascal (millibar) without the risk of contamination with operating fluids. In general, Busch COBRA screw vacuum pumps can be individually configured and perfectly adapted to the respective processes. In addition to various versions for use in potentially explosive areas or for transporting potentially explosive gases or vapours, they can be optimized for practically all applications in the field of chemical process technology. The "Vibration Control Box" consists of a sensor, an analysis unit and special software to facilitate preventive maintenance. It can thus be used to reliably identify a bearing that exhibits initiating damage from vibration.
Busch made its first announcement to ACHEMA visitors that NSB Gas Processing is now part of the international Busch Group. NSB will continue to produce proven liquid ring vacuum pumps, compressors and individual vacuum systems, and expands Busch's existing product portfolio under the new company name Busch NSB AG.
