London – International finance magazine, World Finance, named BPI-Philam Life Assurance Corp. as the best life insurance provider in the Philippines for its 2017 Global Insurance Awards.

World Finance presented BPI-Philam the accolade for their range of insurance products, product and platform innovations, rate of organic growth, and overall impact of products in the home market.

The global finance magazine also noted the bancassurance company’s client-centric approach in insurance, which is evident in their business model and current product offerings, most notably with the Philam Vitality program.

Philam Vitality is a science-backed and rewards-based wellness program that provides a customer the knowledge, tools, and motivation needed to start living healthy. It proactively anticipates a customer’s insurance needs while their health needs are being addressed.

"The Philam Vitality program gives BPI-Philam a strong understanding of their customer's life insurance needs and objects, and indeed, further enhances their status as the leading, go to, life insurance provider in the Philippines," World Finance said.

BPI-Philam CEO Surendra Menon says, “This success is a testament to our people’s grit and passion to stay committed in serving all Filipinos by providing them accessible and personalized insurance.”

During a thanksgiving dinner at Tower Club Makati last February 19, BPI-Philam unveiled the World Finance trophy to its stakeholders and friends.

The 2017 Global Insurance Awards recognizes companies “that continue to grow and expand, even in spite of an ever-changing landscape and modern-day risks.”

The modern tools big data, smartphones, and advanced analytics may be giving way for individually-tailored products, including insurance, but digital developments were also impairing the “commoditization” of insurance, as well as opening up new risks like cyberattacks.
