Tallinn, Estonia – June 6, 2017 – Karoli Hindriks, Founder of Jobbatical, slated for panel on “Inclusive Digitalisation: Tech StartUps and Digital Transformation across the BSR – a grand challenge?
Hire the best. Anywhere.
( | Press Release | 2017-06-07 09:22:08 )
This seminar will discuss the challenge of digital transformation across the BSR by testing the assumption that in order to succeed, smaller cities and towns need to leverage local competitive advantages and the local policy environment to promote the digitization of local business. It will discuss how to promote the connectivity to other towns and cities, linking to the theme of “connectivity” and “increased prosperity”.

About Karoli Hindriks:

Wired Magazine named Jobbatical's Founder and CEO, Karoli Hindriks one of the 50 most inspiring women in European tech 2017. Karoli became Estonia’s official youngest inventor at the age of 16. Since then, she’s led the launch of 7 television channels in Northern Europe, including MTV and Fox. Karoli’s latest startup, Jobbatical, makes international career adventures a reality.

About Jobbatical:

Jobbatical is a disruptive leader in the hiring industry, providing employers with global exposure and exclusive access to top talent looking for opportunities to take their career abroad. Jobbatical sits squarely at the intersection of the future of travel, work and talent mobility.

Jobbatical’s mission is to build the leading global marketplace for worldwide career adventures. Estonian-based Jobbatical, matches the skillset and travel aspirations of tech and business professionals with companies in search of world-class talent. In an era in which skills are not only portable, but a global currency, jobseekers are increasingly comfortable with moving abroad for work. Indeed, a survey by PWC found that 71% of Millenials would like to work outside their own country over the course of their career.

This innovative attitude to work is opening up a whole new talent pool to companies in some of the world’s greatest emerging cities – talent which was previously only accessible to businesses in tech hubs such as London, NYC and Silicon Valley. Today, companies in more remote cities still have to scour professional networking profiles for individuals with the right skills, before trying to identify which of them may be ready to move to their part of the world. Jobbatical removes the pain from this process, by enabling both parties to connect directly.

The panel begins at 10:45 am on June 14th. Karoli will also be available to journalists on June 14 & 15 in Berlin, Germany.
