Disney composer celebrates Mickey Mouse’s 88th birthday with a special gift
Los Angeles, CA – Friday November 19, 2016 - Disney’s music maverick Kenneth Burgomaster honors Mickey Mouse on his 88th Birthday with a custom made song that celebrates the decades of joy the character has brought to the world.
The new track is a free release the music maker has been secretly planning for Mickey’s birthday and finally gets to share with Disney fans across the globe.
“‘Mickey goes to work,’ is an ode to the indelible joy Mickey has brought to the world for almost a century. It also represents inspiration and excitement that is yet to come for the beloved character and the future generation of Disney followers,” says Burgomaster.
The track includes elements of the genres that I love,” says the classical pianist and jazz player. “The inspiration for the track would be if Mickey were driving to work at an L.A. soundstage in his "Mouse Car” during the Golden Age of Hollywood (hence the jazzy feel). I imagine that he’s saying to hello to all his friends as he drives by while passing many Hollywood landmarks…”
Burgomaster has been a Disney fan since childhood, as an adult he feels a lot pressure to create soundtrack that are meaningful and long lasting like the ones his predecessors created before him.
“Growing up, Mickey represented an entire adventurous world to me, which not only included “Mickey Mouse’s Clubhouse” on TV but also Disney theme parks and movies. While the content has changed over the years, I think that the idea of a true Disney “world" still exists, and I still get a kick out of heading to Disneyland!”
The gifted composer that has been supplying the family channel with countless soundtracks for over a decade is responsible for scoring some of the biggest music themes in Disney history like “Hannah Montana,” “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie“ and “Halloween Town High,” among may others.
He’s has been part of the Disney family over a decade, during which time he’s watched child stars grow up and go on to become Hollywood stars.
"I’ve been scoring for Disney since 2004 with “Halloween Town High” and “Phil of the Future.” It’s been fun for me to see the Disney kids grow up because so many of them are extremely talented. Miley sounded like a professional singer in the studio when she was only 13! I feel honored to happy to be part of Mickey’s family and look forward to helping create many more memories and music magic in the years to come.”
Burgomaster is currently in the studio scoring the next season of the series “Stuck in the Middle.”
