( PR4US.com | Press Release | 2021-02-25 11:33:33 )Due to the difficult last months of the Corona pandemic, more and more people got into a social distress or had problems to manage their lives financially. Many people lost their jobs due to the current difficult economic situation. Therefore, this year it was a matter of the heart for Busch Italy to support the organization “Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII” with the initiative “One meal a day” in Milan to give something back to the society and the people in need.
Instead of investing in gifts for its customers and employees, Busch Italy invested in charity and the well-being of people who are struggling, especially in this exceptional year marked by Corona Pandemic. The organization “Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII”, founded in 1968, is an international association committed to fight marginalization and poverty in more than 40 countries. Every year “Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII” distributes more than 7.5 million meals to people in need all over the world. It is also active in Milan since many years, where they offer homeless people sleeping places, food, clothing and articles of daily life, helping them to handle the concerns and problems of their condition.
Busch Italy team supported the charity distributing 200 hot complete meals to those in need just days before Christmas. The meals were cooked under vacuum, using the technics of the sous vide kitchen, and individually vacuum packed with machineries manufactured by their longtime customer Orved. On these machineries vacuum was provided by Busch pumps. The sous vide method is a low temperature cooking which is used in many high-end restaurants and facilitates development of organoleptic flavors and properties resulting in much higher succulence of food. Therefore, Busch decided to offer quality food to those people in need: the team cooked Lasagna and meat with spinach. Especially the Lasagna is a traditionally Christmas dish in Italy. The meals were then distributed by volunteers of “Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII”. Right before Christmas, the joy of the recipients was very great, and the warm meal was also urgently needed during the cold wintertime.
